On the occasion of Women’s right week, the opening of artist Chu Wai Nyein’s “Women, We men” exhibition, documentary screenings of Yangon Film School and Women League of Burma, and panel discussion on the topic of “Women and Peace in Myanmar” were successfully held in the French Institute.
The Ambassador of France to Myanmar himself attended the opening of Chu Wai Nyein’s exhibition. Before screening, the audience was greeted by the director of French Institute, Mr. Cyprien FRANÇOIS. Challenges which Myanmar women are currently facing and opportunities they are yet to have were highlighted in the event in which more than 400 general audience participated.
